I'm coming up on 3 years of daily focused practice playing bass. I'm far beyond intermediate level, but I don't know if I am quite advanced yet. My main goal right now is to find people to jam with to improve.

My ears aren't great, but I can pretty much play along with anything, if you just give me the progression/Nashville numbers and start drumming. I don't know enough jazz standards to play with others yet, but I am confident I can figure out most other western genres in 4/4. I can learn songs quickly with tabs (I can't read music fast enough to claim the skill, but I can make out any sheet music to learn) and I can transcribe most simple bass lines pretty quickly. Solos and tricky fills can take me several months, though.

I don't have any stage experience, and I've only played with other musicians maybe 20 times in the past 3 years. My main immediate goal is to jam with people as much as possible and get more experience playing live. I'd like to get on stage eventually, too.

If you need a bass player to jam with, please hit me up. I am not the best and have very little out-of-shed experience at the moment, but I am super serious about groove, playing in the pocket, harmonic layering, serving the song and constantly improving.

Joe Dart, Pino Palladino, James Jamerson, Carol Kaye, Jaco, and many many many more. I like to learn from anyone who can groove and hold it down as well as all the crazy innovators out there. This list is nearly endless.

My favorite band, however, is King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, but they are not actually a huge influence on my playing. Vulfpeck has probably influenced my playing the most.

I have a 12x12 recording studio/practice space on Lake Travis with a 2 piece drum set and keyboard for practice/jams. The drums aren't anything special, but they work for practice. I don't have any guitar gear at the moment.
