Drummer with 15 years of experience. I enjoy a large variety of music. In my humble opinion, my strengths are my pocket, energy and dynamics. I believe that dynamics can make or break a song.

Influences

I started playing R&B and hip hop with pencils on a desk when I was in elementary school. Groups like Usher, Destiny’s Child, OutKast, etc. As I got older I made friends that exposed me to some great rock/metal groups. Bands like Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Pantera, Metallica, Etc. I then started to get into pop-punk and hardcore metal. These genres were very high energy and challenging. With my variety of taste I currently play many genres, and like to mix elements from each. I have drum covers ranging from Pantera to maroon 5, and TLC to a dubstep remix of a Legend of Zelda song! All my videos are recorded mixed and edited myself!

EQUIPMENT

Two Pearl drumsets, a 3 piece Master’s MCX maple and a 4 piece Reference Pure Music City Custom. I have a drum rack that I practice with plus cymbal stands for gigs. I play all Meinl cymbals that sound great within multiple genres.

I also have a full mic set with stands and an audio interface that I can record tracks with. I am new to audio engineering and have started a YouTube channel in February 2021. If you want see all my videos you can check them out on YouTube Facebook and Instagram at Diamond State Drums
