ABOUT

###################################################################
At the present moment, I am not able to build my band just yet. Got my hands full right now, but do have the desire to start a band. *But by all means, please feel free to email me.*

It takes time to get to know folks anyway...and I want to know who I plan on working with. Running a metal band is great, but it is also a business...and needs to be taken seriously as such.

And now, moving right along........
I'm a Loud guitarist that specializes in 80's heavy metal. I don't claim to be good yet, because I am not, as I'm still learning the craft. Looking for potential band mates that are in the same shape. Willing and wanting to grow as musicians and become an awesome heavy metal band. NO DEATH METAL or any sub genre that sounds close. Leave the attitudes and alcohol at the door. I believe 80's metal is starting to come back in style and would like to build a band to meet that need. My goal is to cut an album and rock a thousand people from the stage.

I do play the keyboards a bit, and have uploaded a few tracks, but that's not my forte. Its all about the six string with me.

I have also ran an Internet and terrestrial radio station since 2003 and have done some morning show DJ'ing. Ive placed some videos on my profile of some air checks from back in those days. Just so you can hear my voice. Its always good to put a voice to a picture. You might even laugh a bit at those air checks. It was fun broadcasting them anyway.

Ive written a couple of lyrics (metal ballads), just haven't put any riffs to them yet. I plan to continue to write songs until such time I can share them with my band for development.

With the above being said, let me give you my views on cover songs. You will probably say Im wrong or missing the boat here, but I do not spend any time learning to play someone else's music. I understand that most bands play cover tunes to get folks in the door, so they can slip some originals in there. I just dont believe in trying to being someone else. A band should believe in their music and make that the best that they can.

I remember hearing a member of the band Cinderella give future musicians some advice...and that was to play whats in your heart. Dont try to play songs that you think people want to hear...play what you want to hear...what your heart has in it....the music that your band stands for.

I know its tough in this business, but to make it,you still have to write your own tunes. So, bottom line is that no, I cant give you a list of popular songs that I can play...only my songs. If you are looking for a cover/tribute band, then I am probably not your guy. Hey, there's nothing wrong with that! Its just that it is not what I am interested in.

A bit about me....I am a US Army veteran, former law enforcement, and a 80's metal freak. I have written and published 6 books and 9 screenplays. Some of my books are still in print. Im a funny guy, normally the one who breaks the silence with a wise crack and believes in holding a group together tightly. You have to laugh because if you take this stuff too seriously, you will go nuts.

My goal, as stated above, is to form a band, cut an album, and rock a thousand souls from the stage. Bringing 80s metal back to the limelight is my quest, and music is the soul behind it.

EQUIPMENT

My former list of gear that I have trained with/owned, includes a BC Rich Bronze Series Warlock, Customized BC Rich Warlock, Two customized Epiphone G-310s, Epiphone G-400, ESP George Lynch Signature Tiger Stripe guitar, Fender Acoustic, Epiphone Acoustic/Electric, BOSS GT8 floor processor, BOSS JS-5 Jam Station, BRTC Helicon Voice Prism Plus, Behringer 16 Channel mixer, Nady 16 channel mixer, Casio 88 key keyboard, Yamaha DJX-II, Fender GDEC-30, and a couple of practice amps. And a boat load of parts, as I do my own tech and repair work on my axes.

I currently own n customized Epiphone G-310 which has been "Frankensteined" almost as much as Eddie Van Halen did to his famous Stratocaster. Otherwise, I have my eyes on few more metal axes for the near future.

Im a little deficient in the Amplifier department. Got my eyes on a Marshall Stack right now when the money becomes available. What 80s metal band can survive without a couple of Marshall Cabinets stacked on stage? Only have a few practice amps at the moment, vas is also embarrassing.
