Been playing guitar and bass for 20 years, I write my own riffs, I don't do many covers. I am a self taught musician, no theory here, if it sounds good I go with it. I have been out of the scene for about 5 years. My prior band opened for multiple national acts, throughout the DMV area. Was also featured on 98 rocks NIB multiple times. I still have connections in the local scene, and should be able to score gigs rather easily. Not looking for a huge commitment, I am married with a kid on the way, so my family is my first priority. I'm looking for like minded/similarly skilled musicians to form a modern metal band/mainstream hard rock band. Practice would be 3-4 times a month(mabye more depending on proximity) and shows atleast 1 time every 2 months.
