ABOUT

Lead guitarist for the classic rock cover band Mimic and acoustic duo Mimic (Lite) based out of Colorado Springs and playing the Colorado Front Range.

I am not actively looking for a band or musicians (for now) - just maintaining this account in case I need it later.

Guitarist and bassist with over 40 years' experience currently living in Colorado Springs. Drug free and only drink in moderation, and absolutely not during rehearsals or gigs. I own professional level gear and read music.

I played bass as a military musician (Marines) from 1991 to 1995. Graduate of the Armed Forces School of Music Basic Course with over 400 performances per year from 1992 to 1995.

Influences

I was trained classically for two years as a beginner but branched out after that. I still play classical to keep my chops up. Primary influences as a guitarist are Randy Rhoads, Steve Lukather (Toto), Neal Schon (Journey), Alex Lifeson (Rush), John Petrucci (Dream Theater), Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden), Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Eddie Van Halen, Mark Tremonti (Alter Bridge), and Tim Pierce. Heavy metal, hard rock, and classic rock background, but can play blues, pop, rock, etc.

Although capable of doing so, I am not interested in playing country or jazz.

Bass influences include Geddy Lee (Rush), Steve Harris (Iron Maiden), Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath), John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), John Entwistle (The Who), and Lee Sklar.
