I've been playing for 30 years now, primarily hard rock/metal and I'm most comfortable in those genres. I can do background/some lead vocals while playing. One of my big strengths is double kick work, and not just the typical "dugga dugga dugga" stuff, I try to be a little more creative if it fits the song.

I was last in two working cover/tribute bands, so I am open to doing that again if the right thing comes along, though I'd really like to write again if the right group of people can be assembled.

As far as covers go, I'm perfectly fine playing the danceable hard rock/metal songs that seem to go over in the bars. I've learned though that doing really off the wall or obscure stuff for local crowds seems to fall on deaf ears most times. I've done everything from AC/DC to Slayer and all points in between.

If those right people could be found, I'd love to do something along the lines of Savatage/Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I think it could work provided I can find people that understand that music requires curves and corners, hills and valleys, etc.
