ABOUT

Formed by New York City natives Bruce Erik Brauer (guitar), Rich Guerzon (Bass) and Joe Ranieri (Drums + Percussion). Dog Society found the ultimate mouth-piece in Colorado based vocalist Brian Schnaak. With a sound that rivals anything considered innovative in rock music at the moment. Dog Society blasted through Test Your Own Eyes, their Atlantic Records / EastWest debut with a refreshing style and sound that established them an identity of their own.

Brian’s vocals are distinctive and precise giving the songs depth and personality. The tribal sound of “Society Dancer” and the highly accessible tracks “When You’re Dead” and “Love is Gone” highlight the band’s incredible personalities and how they mix it up. The beautiful “The Distance” is armed with a melodic lyric line that screams single.

This material on Test Your Own Eyes blends a touch of retro-instrumentation, mood and energy helping it stand out from the rest.

They once called EastWest records home while they toured the country supporting their CD called “Test Your Own Eyes”. Working together with producers Rob Schnaapf + Tom Rothrock of “Beck + Elliot Smith fame, They created a CD that flowed over with great songs and sounds becoming the 6th most added band on radio that summer.

The band has been busy writing, recording and playing club dates. Dog Society has collected a vast amount of material which will be out Spring of 2013.
