Gil grew up on the east coast listening & playing guitar to Motown and Classic Rock. He played for many inner city bands at outdoor events, festivals & charities.
Gil moved to the west coast to advance his music career and has played extensively throughout the region performing at various venues & recording sessions. He plays all types of music genres. His preferred styles are rhythm and blues, soul, funk, blues rock, and classic rock.
From 2007-2009, Gil toured with Kate Russell, Australian Corporate Country & Blues Rock Artist. He did an east coast radio tour with her as a duo and a west coast full band tour, from San Diego to San Francisco and beyond, showcasing two albums performing at dinner clubs, bookstore in-house events, and county fairs throughout California.
From 2009-2012, Gil performed with Don Duncan of New Orleans as a member of the house band in the main lounge of the St. Regis Resort, Monarch Beach, Dana Point, CA.
Gil has performed main support roles, opening act, for top blues rock and classic rock recording artists: Missing Persons, Berlin, Blue Oyster Cult, Great White, Robin Trower, Asia, Pat Benatar, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Dave Mason, and more. Gil has also performed at the Monterey Blues Festival.
