Started taking lessons at age 9 and continued through high school and college. Stdied jazz at North Texas State and played behind some Motown artists. Also played in several cover bands the latest being a six piece group with the original keyboard player from the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. He is a medical doctor now and a neighbor and we formed a very tight group called Buddy and the Notes (his name is Buddy Braefield) but I have moved back to St Louis and am looking for a professional group.

Influences
Too many jazz influences to mention. In the r&b genre I really enjoy Bernard Purdie, Harvey Mason, Steve Gadd, Dave Garibaldi. In straight rock and roll I admire Neil Pert, Allan White, Don Brewer, the drummer for Stevie Miller, Phil Collins and all the good session players in L A, New York, and Nashville. Big band influences of course are Buddy Rich, Louis Bellson, Mel Lewis, and all the new guys coming up out the University of North Texas.
EQUIPMENT
I have used Pearl, Tama, and Ludwig but am currently using Gretcsh. I think Yamaha and DW are the only good products I haven't used yet . I use Zildjian A's and K's depending on the sound needed. I also use a few Paiste and Sabian.
