ABOUT

I played my first song on the piano at age 5 by ear. I play both by ear and read music, and am mostly self taught. Didn't take piano lessons until 2002, and that was to learn to sight read the music. My instructor brought his Violin to a practice, and allowed me to try it (something I'd always wanted to do). After that, he included Violin lessons in with my piano lessons. I've been singing all my life, both in church choirs, community choirs and solo.

I have about a 2 1/2 Octave range when singing, and have been singing A Capella publicly for about the past 4 years. I can also sing with music. I am capable of singing just about any kind of music, be it Country, Gospel, Folk, etc. I've sung the National Anthem several times for different venues A Capella, and normally like to sing it how it's written. I can also sing in languages other than English. I took 4 years of French in High School, and have picked up a smattering of Spanish since then. Needless to say, if I hear it, I can sing it. I have sung Via Dolorosa in public several times, including the Spanish portion.

I wrote and scored my first song in 2011, and it's about the love story between my great grandparents. Since then, I've been writing Gospel songs, and have entered them in competition recently.
