ABOUT

I am an experienced drummer who also sings a large number of rock, Pop, soul, & country songs. I am also a lead singer. I play with sensitivity, dynamics, & a feel for each song, rocking when needed, & using dynamics when the tune's arrangement calls for it. I have performed live and in the studio for over 47 years now, more gigs than I can count, in large & small venues all over. I have played country, rock, jazz, soul, improvisational music, and have recorded several albums and cds with my bands and with other artists. I would like to play or substitute with other bands in the middle GA area. My goal is to make other musicians sound great. I am also a songwriter & have had several of my songs recorded & performed.

Influences

Beatles, Rolling Stones, CCR, Allman Brothers Band, Moody Blues, Chicago, Gordon Lightfoot, Yes, King Crimson, 60s & 70s Soul, you name it. I absorb it all and try to express my feelings articulately and artistically while I rock the house. I can play quietly with acoustic bands (brushes) as well as rocking a crowd with classic Rock & Soul.

DW DRUMS, Zildjian, Sabian, Paiste, Istanbul, Bosphorus Cymbals. Various other effects plus kit is miked through Carvin Mixer. Alesis electronics & pads used onstage. Drum Monitor is JBL w/2 15s & also vocal monitors. Pearl Prestige Session drums, also 2 other kits (Slingerland and Pearl). Mackie/Carvin boards and rack systems with JBL speakers. Yamaha EAD drum miking & also individual mics. Monitors also. Can play small acoustic settings or with everything miked for big sound. I have the total setup for a band.
