ABOUT

First, I'd like to point out that this won't let me fix what I'm looking for. I need to find a drummer, two guitarists, and a bassist. I don't want to JOIN a band, I want to MAKE one. :)

I'm working to get some vocal recordings up. I don't plan on posting my own work, but acapella covers.

I've taken opera training, though it's mostly just something I like to incorporate into some songs.

I'm a singer/songwriter and a beginner in composing. I'm not fantastic at reading music, and I'm very much a novice on the piano. I considered listing it, but I don't think I'm confident enough in my abilities with it so far to really count it. I'm looking for at least one person of the bunch to be able to help in songwriting and composing. I am not looking for another vocalist, though someone who could help with backup would be great (regardless of gender)!

I don't believe in confining myself to one genre. I mostly write rock/opera rock/alternative lyrics, though some are heavier (not necessarily metal, but heavy rock. They just didn't have that option on here!) and some have more of a pop vibe. I have every intention of learning the art of screaming, though it may not turn into something that becomes heavily used, unless the music takes a turn for it.

I have some demos I can share. I'm not yet able to afford a good mic, so I've just been using the one on my computer. I've been using some presets/loops on Garage Band, though I'm becoming much more comfortable writing all the music but the drums. I have no intention of blatantly posting them on here, I'd be much more comfortable sending them through discussion.

I also don't mind starting in a cover band, if need be.
