We are Double Standard - three guys in our 40’s, playing classic rock and blues cover tunes in the metro Detroit area, in various forms for 20 years, and having a blast! We are looking for a LEAD SINGER (male or female) to complete our foursome. We have had both male & female in the past, and have no preference. However, we are not a “chic” band. A female gives us more versatility in terms of our song list, but means that we three have to sing lead on more songs. Our main talent is not our voices, but we can carry a song (and have). We have played as a three-piece, but prefer to be a four-piece band. You must be a musician (no karaoke), with a strong voice as your “main instrument”, willing to gig 2 to 4 nights per month. Rhythm guitar or keyboard playing is a huge plus. We are professionals and have all professional equipment, and put emphasis on having fun and sounding good. We practice once/week, in Utica, MI. Must have own equipment (mic, stand, cords, guitar/keys, amp)(.doublestandard4)
