Band to Join, Vocalist, Vocalist - Soprano, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano.

So here's the deal: I am a drummer/percussionist/singer with about 35+ years in a variety of areas of percussion (I marched drum corps) and I have been auditioning for bands for about 8 years. Usually I get passed over, it sounds REALLY arrogant, but I am told that I am "too good" for the gig. If I do get accepted into a band, it's usually a jam band that's all about acid rock and reliving the 60s and 70s....basically every bar band you ever saw.

So my plan is to start my own band. The concept is classic rock of the 80s. and when I say rock, I mean rock. 3 bands I will start with are Journey, Bon Jovi and VH....extending into Heart, Def Leppard, Survivor, Night Ranger with a few others thrown in there. The idea is that this will be a band to remember summertime in the 80s, primarily in Philadelphia.

Another major point here: this will not be a bar band. I am interested in playing at parks, community events and town gatherings....mostly outside. Also, major scheduling point, this band will begin rehearsing in January & majorly slow down around Labor it will essentially be a spring and summer band. Reason for this is that I am a band director and percussion coordinator at the high school where I teach English and I am busy with marching band from mid August to just before Christmas.

There's a bunch of other points here, I have a setlist set up that I don't think is, maybe come January, you might be interested? We will probably find a studio to rehearse in when the time comes, somewhere in Wilmington or Newark, DE likely.
