I like to play jazz standards, especially jazz blues, but I also like gypsy jazz, jazzy Americana, hillbilly jazz, jazzy Celtic, Western swing, even jazz fusion -- basically anything that's jazzy and swings.

When it comes to groove, my bottom line is simple. Like Ella said, "it don't mean a thing if if ain't got that swing."

Here's what I'm playing a lot right now -- Bobby Troupe's "Route 66," Wes Montgomery's "Sundown," Kenny Dorham's "Blue Bossa," Johnny Mandel's "Suicide Is Painless (Theme from *M*A*S*H)," and Charles Lloyd's "The Water Is Wide."

And for much of the pandemic, I've been fortunate to play live, face-to-face duets several times a week with a classical flutist. Right now we're playing J.S. Bach's "Bouree," the medieval ballad "Greensleeves," and the traditional American folk song, "Shenandoah."

As you can see from the attached music and videos I played on, I have a lot of experience with remote collaboration and over-dubbing bass into existing tracks.
