Hey,

My name is Dru Beardslee, and I am am aspiring musician. I've been singing for about five years now, and I would consider myself to have a very different style. I'd consider my style to be Alt Rock, with West Coast Hip Hop, and G-Funk style beats.

I'm a layed back, but hard working, and determined individual. I tend to get along with everybody, and try to stay posative even when the odds are against me. I've been trying to find someone/ people in the greater OC/LA area to meet up with and hopefully either make some friendships, and fellow musicians, or maybe even start a band, which in the end is my main goal.

I grew up listening to alot of classic rock music. Through my middle school days, i'd blast Green Day non stop, that was my band. But as I got a little older, I started "dipping my toes into other pools of water" so to speak when it came to music. I started really listening to everything I could find; Metallica, Judas Priest, Korn, Zepp, Aerosmith etc.

But once I got into high school, I quickly realized that Hip Hop, and Rap music were the real leaders on music, and it kinda opened my eyes to a new style I had never heard. I'll never forget the first time I played "Straight Outta Compton" and I heard Ice Cube spit the first verse, I was shocked a bit, compared to what I jad listened to, this was so.. different. The beats were hard, the lyrics were absolutely filthy, and I couldn't get enough.

Now a days, I keep to my grind, and continue to write my own lyrics, hoping one day I can make this crazy dream a reality.
