ABOUT

Hello! I'm now in Mayfield Kentucky!!! Drummer looking for a solid, rock bassist and guitarist that can sing as well. I'm into the older era of music, like Trower, Satriani, Rush etc. My ideal band would be a good power trio. I have a Pro tools station and lots of gear, including PA. Hopefully someday doing gigs, I'm looking forward to a great time. I'm a go getter, and am willing to practice daily, or whatever schedules permit. I realize that gigging requires a lot of "chopping wood" type music. I am not into that. Over the years there has been a ton of good hard driving rock produced that doesn't warrant the girly touch, but stays basically in the 4-4 time zone. I'd like to play what WE decide (including you) and nothing but. I am open to most genres, but would like to stick mainly to rock and progressive and even the older rock tunes. Please give me a shout, I'd love to hear from you! I'm not a paying member, so please contact me at dlevens81. Thanks! PS, Please post some of your audio, if I don't know what you sound like, it's really hard to make a decision. Thanks again!

EQUIPMENT

I own a 6 piece vintage Tama Superstar kit with Meinl mini timbales (8"-10") and a nice DW Performance series snare (among others), mic'd with industry standard Sennheiser MK421 II's, Senny evolutions (internaly mounted) on kick with a "Kracken" sub kick mic, Telefunkin M81's on the timbales and Shure SM137 OH's. I record through (2) Focusrite Clarett 8PreX interfaces and (1) Focusrite Clarett Octopre, with 24 digital channels into Pro Tools 11. Sometimes I use a total of 15 mics on my kit, plus spares. It's all mounted to a nice Gibraltar circular rack (see photos). My effects rack includes: (1) Alesis 2ch compressor, (1) Lexicon MX300, (1) DBX EQ, (1) 8ch powered DI, (1) feedback destroyer, (1) INuke 3000 amp, (1) 8ch Art headphone amp, (2) twin 15's 2000w JBL tower PA speakers and a lot of the other gear necessary for a good show.
