Vocalist, guitarist, writer and producer for 25+ yrs. Looking for artistic inspiration and maybe collaboration. Fronted bands over the years ranging in styles across jazzy-grunge, electrified-blues-rock, classic rock-derivative originals and a pinch of hi-tech sounds. Vocals and songwriting are my strongest points of excellence overall, but when I put in the time, I have really good chops on the guitar as well. Looking for a really good and worthwhile reason to dust off and bust out the cool gear. Have always played out sporadically and made it more of a special event rather than a weekly occurrence at any random bar. Have played all over Chicagoland from DeKalb to Western Suburbs to Chicago.

Influences
Lately I have a lot of Bowie-esque grooves and melodies haunting my brain. Love all the non-metal guitar gods, Beck, Clapton, Page, Gilmour, Hendrix. Really like the more psychedelic and airy. Flaming Lips. Some of the newer stuff is really cool when it isn't all bouncy or overly simplistic-- although stripped-down can be really cool when it's right. There are some new bands that are catching my attention on the radio like some stuff from Cage the Elephant, Arctic Monkeys and others. But I honestly mostly ignore a lot of newer, younger stuff, though once in a while the 'kids' catch my attention.
EQUIPMENT
An assortment of really good to great guitars-- Strats, Les Paul, Godin, Guild Jumbo, lap steel, and others. A good assortment of cabinets, heads and combo amps-- mostly all tube, as I am a tone freak. And a nice collection of pedals. Yamaha keyboard from the 90's, 70's Rogers drum set, Presonus StudioOne Professional, outboard rack gear, DAW, mics, etc., etc. Much of it packed in closets or storage at present.
