I am open to things that are interesting, collaborative, not mundane, and creative. I am not in a hurry to jump into a wrong situation, but if there's a match I can be up-to-speed extremely quickly. If you have serious skills and you are not too attached to a band, please tell me about yourself and maybe we can piece together something cool. (I have my contact info below!)
I most recently played bass for a a Phil Collins / Genesis tribute band and vacated that position in January 2024. With that now in my rearview mirror, I am ready to for something else.
I have done both covers and originals and like them both. I prefer heavier rock, but genre is really not an issue as I can play lots and lots of stuff.
I like "different" and coloring a bit outside the lines without diminishing the "essence" of a tune, although when needed I can normally replicate a studio bass line, too, as I did with most of the Leeland Sklar and Nathan East work in my previous band.
I love playing great music with talented people, but kindness rules. I am totally over trying to tiptoe around egos, so if you can be real and balanced, let's go. I tried to place a good variety of recent things in my music section here, but please know that I am very versatile and especially love edgy rock, high-energy dance tunes, and jazzy chords.
I know what it's like to run a band as I had my own 7-piece band for a few years while I was in SE Florida. I had to dis-band when I moved to Central FL. :-( though. It was loads of work and we had some decent successes.
In other places and times, I played as the bassist for a rock band out of West Palm Beach, Florida that played all-original rock with an edgy acoustic rock sound. While there, I enjoyed creating several dozen unique, original bass lines.
