And My Id Said to Me... <<>>[Play it loud! This song was engineered for strong bass at higher volume]
A conversation between me and myself with brooding bass undertones, this one was a long time in the making. A bit awkward in places, but that just adds to the individuality :-) Big thanks to @Russell-Sinfield in the Chaos Cookhouse for mastering this piece.
Hearing in ColorI enjoyed doing this piece, and it was great working with Russ @russell-sinfield who did the mixing and mastering. There are a few different sections in the piece, as it builds up momentum going into the final section. From the added complexity on the arps, to the sounds of the snare drums, and not to mention the fx, Russ brought a lot of richness and fine touches to this piece. I really like the result and hope you do too :-)
Happy RobotsTwo robots are doing their "robot work" when they bump into each other, become aware of the music, decide to dance and have a good time, and then eventually awaken.
Arranging, effects, mixing and mastering by @Russell-Sinfield:
I love the effects, drums, sounds and mixing on this one - all thanks to Russ!
ShanghaiCollaboration with @russell-sinfield
As we made this track we felt it had an oriental sense, and lots of optimistic energy, so we named it "Shanghai" - after a modern urban center brimming with can-do energy.
This tracks marks a closer collaboration with Russ (@russell-sinfield), who did a lot of arranging as well as all the mixing, effects and mastering (not just arranging the simple bits, but the ones that were the most problematic, and I was delighted with the results).
I was really happy to be working with Russ on this, and look forward to the next piece we do together!
On A TrainCollaboration with Russell Sinfield:
Combining grungy guitar with contemporary synth, this piece takes you on a heady journey from the train station through a moving soundscape and on to your destination.
Worked with Russ on this, and it was a lot of fun. It says "Mixed by Russ" in the picture, but that's "Mixed" with a capital "M". I gave him a bunch of bits, and he figured what to keep, then added new parts, and morphed the old ones to give them an edge. The result is something cohesive and interesting all the way through. He has a great ear, and this shows in the results of his mixing and mastering. This piece sounds great loud, so turn it up!
Pik-PikBright synth piece at 130bpm. Many thanks to Russell Sinfield for mixing and mastering this:
(In particular, Russ found a way to blend in an interesting but rough synth instrument in a smooth and non-offensive way. As usual he made the drums punchy, and lots of other good things!)

Electro Up Tempo - collab with Russell SinfieldCollaboration with Russell Sinfield:
Russ transformed the song, bringing it to life! It's energy and catchiness is thanks to Russ. I am really happy with this!
And he also did the mixing and mastering!
