ABOUT

Experienced drummer/percussionist with pro gear and attitude. Works well with a group and collaborations. Able to play all styles of live and recorded music.

I began playing the drums in 1968 at the age of 11 and continued playing in concert and marching bands throughout the grade school years. Being elected band president my senior year in high school, I went on to lead the band to several state marching and concert band championships. Unable to resist the urge to play live music, I went straight into the music biz and went on the road with various acts up and down the East Coast, recording and playing whenever possible. I settled briefly in Tennessee before heading back to my hometown of Dayton, OH in 1982. Back home I began playing with several influential local bands. During that time, I had the opportunity to share the stage with such acts as The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Steve Morse and Matt Guitar Murphy. I also got the chance to record with producer Bill Halverson (Crosby Stills Nash & Young). I moved to Austin, TX in 1984 and served as fill in drummer for international acts performing at the SXSW music festival every spring. Those acts represented all genres of music: indie, alternative, country, jazz, blues, and rock.
I relocated to FL in Dec 2016 and have been playing mostly 80’s and 90’s rock since then, while sitting in with bands who need a filling in drummer at the last minute.
