I've played the drums for over 20 years. I started out playing around on my brother's drumset, then played throughout most of school and took drum lessons for about 5 years. My playing style is pretty adaptable but I tend towards psychedelic/progressive rock with so-called "world music" and electronic influences. I'm mostly interested in instrumental music but am open to the idea of a vocalist if they are especially talented and I enjoy their style. I had a psychedelic improv rock/metal jam band called Metapneuma years ago (check some out at ://./metapneuma), but have been flying solo since about 2006. I've incorporated a sampling pad into my playing, which means either playing to loops and/or simultaneous sampling and drumming. I've also made some recordings utilizing Thumbjam, a very useful app on my ipod. Since joining this site I've expanded my network of musician friends a bit, but still haven't found a project to fully commit to.

To hear some of my recordings go to ://./polyontologymusic

I've also got a nice long drum solo uploaded to archive. just go there and do a search for polyontology
