ABOUT

I am very passionate about drumming. I want to play drum kit in a rock band now in upstate New York, where I relocated to with my wife and dog in the summer of 2022.

I have been playing Drum kit and percussion for over 25 years. I was classically trained on the clarinet throughout junior high and high school in Los Angeles, California. I studied and played West African drumming with the djembe for 12 years. I taught a community drum class for several years in the Bay area of Northern California. I was one of the prominent house drummers for an open mic for about 14 years in a very well established music club/bar called “19 Broadway”in Fairfax, just outside of San Francisco. I have played in original music bands and a cover band.

I am looking to meet some talented musicians - guitar players, bass guitar, and lead singer to put a small band together and play gigs out.

I also like to play acoustic style with hand drums and percussion.

Influences

I grew up in London, England, so I was influenced by all the great English rock bands like Pink Floyd and many others. I love modern rock, classic rock, alternative, Blues, World Beat, Electonic, and also creating my own music in Logic Pro X and then adding my own live recorded drum kit part to the music track - using iphone with “Sure” ios mic.

EQUIPMENT

Drum kit (Johnny Craviotto Drums - 1/2 Maple - Shells -1012/14/20, Walnut Snare African djembe, Cajon, Turbo Slaptop Cajon 1/4" Plug-in, Conga, and other percussion. I have my own music studio and PA system with Tuscan Model 12 Mixer and two QSC 2.2 PA speakers with stands, and iMac Computer. I also produce music in Logic Pro X and use Final Cut Pro X for video editing and effects.
