ABOUT

I started out at Peabody Institute in 1996 and have "Voice Achievement" Award. I studied 'music theory' and took lessons from Helen Strine who led the department at that time. I have studied classical music, including Italian which teaches one clarity. I currently sing at my own church. I have also been to Columbia School of Broadcasting but chose not to go that route. Because of my age, classic rock is what I'm accustomed to. I am currently in search of others looking to create-not cover, although I'm open to the idea.

Influences

The main influences have been more of a progressive nature like Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Pink Floyd and Moody Blues. These are just a few. There are too many to list here but one can get an idea. I'd rather not list my collection. That seems rather tacky to me.

EQUIPMENT

Not much to tell here as a singer usually just has his or her mike and stand. I do, however, have a bar size P.A. system but it doesn't get much use. Obviously, any good musician knows there's usually a 'house' P.A. I prefer the warmth of a Sennhieser or Neumann because of my deeper voice, which tends to be loud (in a good way) at times just talking.
