ABOUT

From my childhood I have always had a gift to create to compose songs, skits and dialogue to entertain people. I even started my own toy company before I was a teenager and had my first gospel song recorded when I was just 16.

Being raised in West Texas, I emerged from my college days with a desire to make a mark in the world of entertainment and music. My passion for the music industry took me to Los Angeles where my writing talent brought me in front of L’deBarge who funded my first LA session where award winning PolyGram Records legend Al Johnson produced the Gold and Platinum hit song, “Only You” for NinaTom Music. The Whispers recorded it in 1982 on their “Love Is Where You Find It” Album. My catalog of music has been performed by dozens of independent artists.

Music City USA, Nashville, TN: I opened Appalachian Gold Music Corp. on the second floor of the office of the late famous manager Jack McFadden’s office. The company did music publishing and radio promotions, artist development and management. Our first independent release “Thinkin and Drivin” hit the top 100 chart. Nashville gave me an opportunity to use all my creative talent. I produced music videos, print advertising, promotions and games for national radio. I created a video pool service for night clubs and retail outlets which was so popular the record companies paid us to break new talent on our 12 million plus viewers who watched our programming in Aladdin’s Castle Video Arcades nationwide.

My personal performance as a singer/songwriter happened with my starting an 8 piece R & B band, “Bordello” with Moe Denham, one of the best B3 Hammond organists in the world. The band was met with such acceptance Fox Entertainment chose us to open for their premier of the purchase of the Memphis and Nashville stations. Legendary artists like Duck Dunn, Lynard Skynard, The Allman Brothers, The Flying Burrito Brothers and Glen Frey of the Eagles as well as studio musicians from Memphis and Muscle Shoals came to hear the band. I was known then as the “Right Reverend of Rhythm and Blues”. The Staxx Records Reunion in Atlanta, GA invited me and my manager, ‘Doc’ Fields, as guests of honor.

Enough tooting my own horn. Now I am in my mid-sixties and producing and writing the best stuff ever. If you want original hits to record or need a producer who knows what a hit should sound like, then contact me!
