Here's my story. I've played music since I was 5 years old. I gigged heavily on the Austin and greater Texas music scene for 20 years before moving to NC. I'm a very experienced player but haven't been in a band in a couple of years. I definitely keep my chops up, however. My main instrument is guitar (lead and rhythm, it's all guitar to me). But I've played a lot of keys and bass, both live and on recordings. I consider myself a rock player first, but have gigged in bands playing swing, blues, progressive rock, funk, guitar-based pop, and pit orchestra music.

I'm looking for an established or startup band in just about any rock-related genre except metal or soft rock. I'd love to do originals but would be perfectly happy with covers or even the right tribute band.

By day, I'm a middle-aged career guy with a family. So I'm done with touring and 4-day weekends living in a van (down by the river!). But within the constraints of being a weekend warrior, my commitment level is very high. I value the time I have, so I show up on-time and well-prepared, and I follow through on commitments. With respect to a band, I keep my political, social, and religious views to myself. In all of those ways, I'm 100% professional and I'd like to play with similar minded players. Oh, and I'm vaccinated. For very legit medical reasons would need to play with people who are as well.
