Hardworking, knowledgeable, funky, musically educated, groove oriented, solid time keeper looking to start a smooth jazz/jazz project.

Very humble and easy to work with, love to get some gigs, work covers, some originals maybe, etc.....A little funk infused jazz preferred (I probably wouldn't turn down a hard driving blues band if it comes my way though-Bonamassa, SRV, Johnny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepard, etc...).

I'd like to make a bit of cash while still having fun with it.

Tower of Power, Steve Gadd, Peter Erskine, Earth Wind and Fire, old school funk, Mingo Fishtrap, any Big Band stuff new and old, any current jazz and smooth jazz, jazz fusion, Brian Culbertson, Brian Setzer, Michael Buble, Rat Pack stuff, Wynton Marsalis (one of my favorites), Symphony music/classical, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Broadway, Theatre, and a bunch of Blues artists, etc....

Instrument experience:

Sonor SQ2 in Mint Sparkle. This is my bop/jazz/smooth jazz kit. 12" tom, 14" Floor tom, 18x14" bass drum. Solid shell 14x6" Spaun snare. Various hand hammered Turkish cymbals...Istanbul, V-Classic, Bosphorus....all straight from Turkey. Small and compact set up, classic German beech sound. All top notch stuff in my opinion....at least for what I intend to play.
