ABOUT

We are a three piece instrumental band (guitar, bass, drums) in search of a like minded keyboardist and or guitarist. We have been together for about half a year and have played out a few times, but have come to the conclusion that a final piece to the puzzle would make the music epic. We try for melodic mood-driven soundscapeage. Crazy technical skills are far from required but the ideal dude (or dudette) would have a good understanding of sounds, fx and songwriting. The idea is for this addition to sometimes take the melody lead like a vocalist would, sometimes help build rhythm parts, and sometimes add ambience. Any other instruments are welcome to be brought to the table (the more diversity in sound the better – hence our search for keyboards). Equipment is a must (because we don’t have any gear for you to use), the best case scenario you have a laptop rig (maximizing sound/ instrument potential), and we can cover the amplification. Time commitment – we’re doing 1 night a week and occasional weekend shows, but if sh*t gets real awesome we can up the ante (we have all been in bands that used to practice all week and gig all weekend so we know the deal). We have a practice space in the Lynn Music Complex in Lynn, MA. If you make the cut, you would need to contribute to the monthly rent fee for the room. Very spacious I may add. We have access to a studio in our old jam room in the same building with a full cubase recording system. As far as personality (which is mad crucial) you just pretty much have to be the man. As for influences, we all listen to a ton of different material but specific to this project we love Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, This Will Destroy You, Always the Runner, Sigur Ros, Red Sparowes… If you don’t know these bands, check them out. We’re not looking to bite them, just build of this idea of beautiful, dynamic, epic songs that you could sell as a sound track for the best dream you ever had. If you’re down, check out - ://./thesagebrushofmontana - All of these were done at practice with a couple of overheads so it’s more to get an idea of the songs (whatever – excuses). The three new tracks give the best idea as to where we’re heading. Thanks for checking out the add! contact Marc at rockstar1less
