Hi, I'm Dutch a late 20's musician living in the Olalla area. I like playing riff-driven hardrock numbers and then winding down with an acoustic ballad. As for lyrical content I like writings influenced by classical literature (Led Zeppelin, Syd Barrett, Beatles), writings that take jabs at social culture (Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, CCR), or just catchy love songs. The originals I write (I have several so far) take those aforementioned approaches. On my acoustic stuff I use a capo and/or different tunings (drop D, some open tunings but not all) depending on the song. I write unconventionally but make it simplistic. As for bass playing, I can fill in on the bass though its just a little more than rudimentary. I can't play a drum kit to save my life.
