ABOUT

Dyanne Harvey arrived on the music scene in 2013 with her debut album, Bottle of Wine. It’s on this record that Harvey lets her rural, Midwestern spirit fuse with the essence and pulse of Nashville’s alternative country roots. Her 2014 follow up, Whiskey & Wine, stays true to that fusion, but presents it in a no-nonsense, stripped down affair, where the songs are allowed to bask in those roots but not be singularly defined by them. The end result is a collection of songs situated in the broad distinction of Americana, but come attached with the promise that her future releases won’t necessarily have to fall into that same arena.

After teaming with several musicians — Trey Gray (Brooks and Dunn), Stuart Mathis (The Wallflowers), Kevin Smith (Co-producer of Whiskey & Wine) — and notching tours of the Midwest, Deep South, and New England in support of her records, Harvey has become a viable presence as her songs continue to stretch their legs. Not only one for touring, Harvey has also been featured on Womyn Making Waves, Music Road Radio, Raditaz, and Kickass Women Music Radio, while also appearing as an on-air guest of 95.7 WCRC All American True Country and The Pride and Glory of Logan County.

Being raised an Illinois farm kid and currently residing in Lincoln, IL has helped Harvey stay true to those values; nurturing something from the ground up is still her way of life as she attempts to grow her music from that same soil. As those roots and values continue to pulse through her blood, her desire to sing and write songs has become as much a natural part of living as the quiet, far-reaching Midwestern sunset.
