EXPERIENCED Keyboard player needed for classic rock band. We are a 6-piece band (including keyboards, that is) featuring guitar, bass, drums, two female vocalists, and soon-to-be-added, keyboards. The guitar and bass player also provide vocals, so we have very nice harmonies. We sprinkle in a few country and standard songs, but are primarily a classic rock band, performing songs by Journey, Tom Petty, Poco, Fleetwood Mac, Commitments, Bonnie Raitt, etc. We average in age about late 40’s / early 50’s (with one exception) so would like someone in same age ballpark. We have families and full-time jobs so are looking to play no more than a couple of times per month. With that being said, I must be honest in that we are a new group and have no bookings thus far. However, we are experienced and well seasoned players as we have all played in different groups. The guitar and bass player have been playing together since the early 80’s. We feel we should have no problems booking gigs at some point. We do have some irons in the fire. As far as rehearsals, once we get you up to speed with our song list, we typically will rehearse a couple of times per month to tighten up and learn new songs. The audition will be held as follows: I will give you a list of approximately a dozen or so songs. You will pick from that list songs that you would be comfortable with. However, there will be a few tunes that we will insist that you play at the audition. You will have the responsibility of knowing / learning those few songs on your own as we do not provide lead sheets. I can, however, email you the actual songs if you need them, no problem in providing you with that.
