I've been playing in bands since disco was king. Started piano lessons at 4 years old. I play piano, keyboards, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, trumpet, trombone, baritone, ukulele, drums, percussion.
I released my CD in November, 2012. “Na Mele no ka Makua” (Hawaiian for “Songs for God”) is a CD of 11 of my original contemporary Christian and Hawaiian songs and one great Hawaiian classic, recorded by some of the most talented musicians and vocalists I’ve ever known. Partnering with Mark Baker, Minister of Music at ChristLife Community Church in Franktown, CO, “Na Mele no ka Makua” became an opportunity to record some of my favorite songs in a variety of styles of music along with different types of acoustic and digital instruments.
This CD is dedicated to the memory of my sister, Gay Itsuko Yamada Seleska. Gay passed away on September 12, 2011 after nearly two years of battling Leiomyosarcoma. She was always a fighter and gave it the fight of her life.
