I am a throwback to anything musical. You won't find a vocalist as versatile as me. I don't see genre only good and bad music. I grew up in the south so I've got some of everything in me...soul music, blues, gospel, RnB, HipHop, Classic Country, southern rock (CCR, Lynard Skynard) but I appreciate Opera. "nessun dorma" sung by Pavarotti brings me to tears. I dissect music. Its bad ass that opera singers perform and speak multiple languages. I love the smooth complexity of Ella Fitzgerald and Bettye Swans voice but the grittiness of Koko Taylor. I'm looking for a band who is open to playing anything that is good. I was in a blues band in the early 20s but life and school got in the way so I took a step back from music at that point. I am a new mother of a 7 month old and my husband just passed away at 36 years old. I am looking to get back into music with band mates that appreciate music like I do but am understanding of my circumstances. I am practical, dependable, and honest. Looking for the same.
