My influences are probably too many to list. I came up in the 60s in the "classic rock" era and got into jazz and the funk in the early 70s but most of my rent came from playing in dance bands. In the past I was doing a lot of original music projects in the Latin jazz, afro beat, and reggae modes with my keyboard player. I've done a lot of work to expand my knowledge of Salsa (Mambo), Afro-Cuban as well as Brazilian styles.

I've been teaching for a long time and taught some of the greatest drummers of the Roosevelt Jazz Band. Notably the one last year [2019]. They won the Essentially Ellington Contest in NY again. I also play in a ballroom dancing swing band.

Instrument experience:

Vocalist - Baritone:

I use a Pearl Custom Masters kit and have Roland TD 30 [Pro-Session] V-drums. I have a Bose PA & lights and can do recording and video production.
