ABOUT

Primarily into originals and tasteful covers influenced by 60s/British/pub rock/neo-psychedelic/jangle music and songwriters like McCartney, Costello, Ray Davies, XTC, Nick Lowe, and American storytellers ranging anywhere from John Hiatt, Guy Clark, and all points in between and beyond. I prefer writing and working on original music and recording it. I'm not interested in joining a typical club/bull roast band. If a band happened to form out of collaboration with like-minded individuals, that would be fine as long as the focus was on originals and select cover tunes. It's all subjective. While playing out is fun, it's not if it becomes another job and becomes the primary focus. I'm a guitarist first. Being able to get along without drama and other baggage that tends to ruin bands is also important. I play music because I enjoy it; not to pretend to be a rock star.

EQUIPMENT

The usual array of guitars, basses, microphones, amps of varying sizes, etc. one would expect an older musician to have accumulated over the years ranging from small to large and to small again. Pedals to enhance the sound as well, not to replace the music with gimmicks.
