Blues, 70's funk and rock are my foundation, but so is everything else I've heard since. I'm interested in the power of simplicity. I'd like to find a small group of musicians with a similar taste to experiment with the merger of acoustic/electric funk, rock, jazz, & r&b. The sound will be a powerful, funky, at times hard driving, rhythmic/percussive, sophisticated, contagious groove with the rawness of acoustic combined with electric and strong bass and percussion. The objective is to grab people and make them move whether or not they intended to, and when we're flying we're all having a blast! I am a passable drummer, play congas & other percussion. I play rhythm guitar at an intermediate level (working on getting better), but my strength is in my deep, smooth, soulful voice.

The closest single artist example I can give of what I have in mind: See Keziah Jones at: s://./watch?v=Rp9mRlW7Tgo ...Check out the break down at 3:49 - that's the way I want the music to groove and to grab people. Simple with 3 musicians. Keziah plays an acoustic electric guitar, there's a bass and drums. Lot of music, few musicians. Also s://./watch?v=jJSUWir8Qoc
