To me playing music needs to be fun. If you ain't havin' fun playin' you're doing something wrong ! Don't misunderstand...playing is serious enough as it is and you ALWAYS play your best but it's got to be fun too. Otherwise, it's just a job. Some of the best times I've ever had in my life were when I was playing music. I'd like for that to continue whoever I join up with.

Influences
All musicians impress me in one way or another. Some by playing and some by NOT playing. My first influence was and always will be the Beatles. If it weren't for those 4 guys we wouldn't be here doing what we're doing today. I could make a list but it's not needed. We all know those stars that shine. And we all like different bands. From each we glean what we like and let the rest go. I still like the Motown sound and have played it extensively. And of course I've played the ear splitting rock in years gone by. Most of it wasn't good but it was loud. Loud does NOT translate as good music. Classical music was and is one of my influences as well. I've tried throughout my life to play and experience and appreciate all types and styles of music which has brought me where I am today. I consider myself a well versed musician.
EQUIPMENT
1 Set of Double Bass Ludwig 1970 vintage
1 Set Drum Craft which I just bought and I'm eager to try them out with some live music.. It's a 7 piece set with a 20" "gong" drum. Very impressive set. I have installed a double bass pedal on this set. And everything I've added is cutting edge new accessories.
