ABOUT

I have been a musician for close to ten years, for music has been a big part of me. I started out as a violinist then later became a celloist (high school) for a String Orchestra, with the same conductor who taught at an elementary school, a middle school, and a high school. It wasn’t until my freshmen year of high school, where I found a huge interest on the bass guitar. My father, uncles, and sister were guitarist, and they tried to get to become one though it didn’t work (yet). Once I got a bass for Christmas, I literally became obsess over the instrument. I self-taught myself how to play it, for many bass classes were too expensive. In just a year alone, I excelled well in the fingerpicking technique. The entrance of the bass reopened my eyes in music, encouraging me to learn the acoustic/electric guitar, the keyboard, the cello (also self-taught), and music notations again. I don’t know what I want to be in the future. Hopefully the ‘power of music’ can help me.

UPDATE FOR 2018: I am from San Diego, that being said all my gear is back there, all I have with me is my 'BC' Acoustic/Electric Bass (and trust me I treat my 'BC' like my electrics). I am hoping by next year I can bring at least a quarter of my rig up here at San Fran. I have no car, I rely only on the MUNI transportation or Uber (if necessary). Since I don't have premium, email me at Hybird_Soldier if you are still interested.

Influences

Before I became a bassist, I was a general music lover. I liked listening to rock, punk, film/video/television scores, and reggaetón music. It wasn’t until I got my bass when I became obsess over metal, hard rock, jazz, film scores, cumbia, blues, and classical music. My two influences in music are Cliff Burton (of Metallica) and Jaco Pastorious (a soloist). Both musicians “weapon of choice” was the bass, just like me, they also became obsess over the instrument and they became famous for that reason. They weren’t just amazing bassist but they true musicians, knowing how to play several musical instruments. They are who inspired me to become a legit bassist.
