ABOUT

I'm searching for a guitar player/singer for If I Only Knew Your Name, a musical I wrote with charted Americana recording artist Arthur Godfrey.

Arthur and I wrote this together and, after a trip to the Americana Music Convention, were shopping it to theaters in Nashville and Dallas before he experienced some health issues. We even got some interest from actor Sean Penn. The play has 13 original songs that have already been recorded, and one of them, “Amen,” won the 2004 John Lennon Songwriting Contest (Arthur also won in 2001).

The player we’re looking for is someone who can play all the songs, and who is rock-solid dependable, as well as who might have the flexibility to perform regionally or perhaps nationally if the play takes off. For compensation, we could do a simple pay-to-play deal, or I could cut the right person in on a percentage of all profits from ticket sales and any other merchandising that might come out of it. Arthur and I have a contract between us, and we could put together a simple contract to include the performer.
