I am self-taught on guitar. I play my electric guitar more these days, but also like acoustic and folky music with a bit of an edge (folk-punk? is that a thing?). I love a wide variety of genres and will play anything.

Since I'm self taught and have only practiced alone, I still consider myself novice even though I've been playing for several years. Maybe I'm intermediate. I basically just want to meet people to play with so that I can build my skills up and learn to accompany/play with others!

Starting a band would be fun too, but casually for now. Looking for female musicians mainly who just want to be creative together. I've never played in front of an audience so you would have to be cool with a total newbie in that department.

Ideal situation would be meeting a friend or two that just want to write some music, collaborate back and forth, attempt to put it together to make some songs. If they come out crappy, at least we got some practice in? :) I get along best with people who are silly and don't take themselves too seriously.

I don't know that these are all influences, but lately been listening to a lot of St. Vincent and Karen O/ Yeah yeah yeahs. I still listen to Green Day's Dookie on the monthly because I'm stuck in 1994.

I will randomly list other artists I listen to based on what Spotify is telling me: Jenny Lewis, Warpaint, Cat Power, Joni Mitchell, Sia, Holly Miranda, Frankie Cosmos, Torres, Against Me!, Mitski,Bloc Party, Chaka Khan (hehe), Stevie Wonder, Lake Street Dive, Palehound, All Dogs, Kina Grannis, Frank Ocean, Death Cab for Cutie, Alanis Morrisette (only Jagged Little Pill, obviously), Regina Spektor, Daughter, Hospitality, Waxahatchee, etcccc
