ABOUT

Hi! I'm Enrique 'Bugs' Gonzalez and I have been playing drums profesionally for over 15 years; 8 of those (1997-2005) with an alternative rock band from Monterrey, Mexico by the name of JUMBO. We released 4 CD's with BMG/RCA: Restaurant (1999), DD y Ponle Play (2001), Teleparque (2003), and Gran Panoramico (2005); which led us to tour extensively throughout Mexico, USA and Central America. I am currently Musical Director and Drummer for Aleks Syntek, a latin pop solo artist from Mexico. I am also a Yamaha drumset artist (since 2002) and an active clinician whose credits include Expo Soundcheck 2005, Yamaha's Groove Night 2003, and work alongside internationally acclaimed drum artist Dave Weckl. Finally, although I was born and raised in Mexico, my influences are 100% rooted in all forms of american music. Playing styles include: rock, alternative, pop, blues, funk, jazz, fusion, latin, country, folk, world, reggae, metal, electronica, drum and bass, etc. Feel free to contact me if there's any other information you might need, such as MP3's, recent pictures, contact info and/or my resume. Sincerely, "Bugs" ;)
