Marleaux Bass Guitars artist, available for live performances, on site or remote recordings (see gear listed below for remote recordings!), tours, and all your bass needs.
Hi there!

My name is Enrique Mancía. I'm a young, professional bass player and producer (no, I don't make "beats", I produce music) currently living in Ridgewood, NY. I'm a highly experienced and mature musician, with a couple hundreds of gigs and bunch of recordings and tours under my belt, and graduated with honors from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. I came to NYC in August 2011, since then I have played with many different artists, ranging from rock and metal to jazz, hip-hop, electronic/drum&bass, folk, Gospel, reggae, Latin, Klezmer... and have played in venues such as Highline Ballroom, Canal Room, One World Trace Center Obsevatory, Santos Party House's main stage, Club Bonafide, SRB Brooklyn, The Knitting Factory, Public Assembly, Webster Hall, Bitter End, The Beatles Revolution Lounge at the Mirage Casino (Las Vegas), The Stanhope House (New Jersey), The Chance Theater (Poughkeepsie)... and events such as Lollapalooza Festival opening party at Chicago's Hard Rock Hotel, CMJ Festival in NYC, and SXSW in Austin, TX. I have recorded with world-class producers such as Jay Baumgardner (Evanescence, Linkin' Park, Limp Bizkit...) in LA at Jay's NRG Recording Studios, and John Bender (Paramore, Killswitch Engage, Breaking Benjamin...) in NYC.

I usually charge a lot for my services, but that has led to a lot of bad experiences and, honestly, very bad music. Right now, I'm looking for something else, something unique that I want to be a part of. What I offer is a professional attitude and serious care about the music. I'm not gonna be messing around with you making you lose your time and patience. And I don't really have time and patience to lose, either. If you are looking for something way above that, then I'll offer you all my effort on our music, to take care of every single detail from the very first note to the very last one in each individual song of until we're 100% satisfied with them, to create and to be sincere about what I feel and think about the music.

I have a very solid foundation on music theory and arranging, as well as on time and rhythm; I have good ears that can identify most progressions at a glance, making me a very fast learner; I have piano skills; I got chops, dynamics, good sound and articulation; and I know my fretboard very well and I can play anything in any key. All of that, to take the music to the next level. Plus, I always have a smile to offer whether we're in the rehearsal space or on the stage =)

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any question or if there is anything that you wanna discuss.
