I'm a singer/songwriter having performed since high school. I was in gospel choir and praise band in high school and college. After college I was lead vocalist for a few local bands, mostly performing small, acoustic coffee shop gigs with friends. I also played drums and sang backup for our church for several years. My stepdad was a drummer for a band for several years and did some minor studio work. I've also logged some minimal studio time in college laying down multiple vocal tracks.
I've have very eclectic tastes in music, preferring to draw from a wide range of influences. I love building a composition layer-by-layer to produce a gradual wall of sound, similar to what was pioneered in the 60s. But I also have an affinity for 90s alt-rock, gospel, 70s progress rock, blues, and modern folk/indie rock.
