Guitar player looking for a project with a good mix of blues, soul, & rock. Stuff with a little bounce in the beat that gets people singing and dancing. Think Stax, Motown, The Faces, Sticky Fingers and Exile-era Stones, Black Crowes, Susan Tedeschi, Grace Potter... Would rather avoid the typical blues/rock stereotype and the associated overplayed music.
I have a good attitude and work ethic, gig-worthy gear, and a day job. Looking for fun & a few gigs, not looking to make a 2nd career out of it.
I play slide, play tasteful leads (play enough to make my point and get back to the chorus... not a fan of drawn out solos), and solid rhythm. Sing a little, but not enough to front a band.
Recently left a project that wasn't coming together, and would like to either find people to start a new project from the ground up or join an existing band.
