Looking for a band to join – Bar Room Rock style

Hi my name is Eric Steinmetz and I am a 60ish year old guitar player. I’ve been in and out of bands for 50 years and I am wanting to get playing again now that I’ve settled in Plantation.

Local guitar player, just looking to play out occasionally. Willing to practice a couple times a week.
I am into Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, light country and old-time rock and roll.
Easy to get along with; no drinking (been there, done that, sober 25 years) No drugs (always fgured dope would get in the way of my drinking …)

Got good, professional equipment and a well-paying, stable day-job as a structural engineer. So, I am not needing to play out to pay my rent.

Current must-play song list includes:
Tulsa-Time Clapton in E
Dead Flowers Rolling Stones in D
Close to You Baby – Stevie Ray Vaughan in A
Crossroads – Cream / Eric Clapton in A
Pride and Joy – Stevie Ray Vaughan in E
Kansas City – Hey Hey – The Beatles
Nobody Knows You When You are Down and Out – Eric Clapton in C
Breakdown – Tom Petty in Am
Before You Accuse Me – Eric Clapton in E
Hopes Up High – The Flatlanders in E
Melissa – The Allman Brothers in E
Stormy Monday Blues – The Allman Brothers in C
Honkey Tonk Women Rolling Stones in G
Seven Turns – The Allman Brothers in G
Gimmie Three Steps – Lynyrd Skynyrd in E
Sweet Home Alabama – Lynyrd Skynyrd in D
Six Days on the Road – Steve Earle in D
Heartbreaker – Led Zeppelin
Rock and Roll – Led Zeppelin
Shakin’ All Over – The Who in A

How about yours now??

I can sing some, but not enough to front a band. I am good for a couple songs a set. Maybe more, but like gourmet coffee, my singing is an acquired taste. AND - Like penicillin, my voice is best in small doses.

Drop me an email and we'll talk
