ABOUT

45 years old, been playing various styles of music ranging from country, bluegrass, folk, some rock, pop, blues, praise and worship, gospel, and southern gospel. I play acoustic guitar, electric lead, electric bass, or mandolin all very proficiently. I'm committed to learning tunes at slightly higher level. I've been in "That's Close Enough Bands" 15 times now and I'm interested in playing with like minded players willing to excel through personal and group practice for bettering the collective live performances or recordings. I've lead a few larger worship teams in my time, and local local bluegrass bands & country bands as well. Played ton's of shows and gigs, farmers markets, weddings, churches, city events, restaurants, clubs, private parties. Looking to play out at paying gigs maybe 2-5 times a month. I like pre-arranged set lists that can be perfected over time with effort. I perform out solo but I would also entertain adding a solid lead instrumentalist and or a small foot print percussionist or bass player for accompaniment. e r p a r r e n t at att . ne t

Influences

Just about everything 50's, 60's, 70's, 80, and 90's country, Haggard, Waylon, Randy, Vince, Marty Robins, Cash, John Denver, Steve Warner, Garth, George, Colin Ray... ... ...

I love old & new bluegrass artist like The Bluegrass Album Band, Tony Rice, Blue Highway, Lonesome River Band, AKUS... ... ...

I also like light vintage rock and soft rock like Kansas, REO, Fogelberg, Marshall Tucker... ... ...but I would have to work on a lot of that stuff since it's been a while, but I'm willing and able to learn new tunes.

I love old hymnals, southern gospel, and worship music, my mentor church musicians were a major influence in my life getting started. I just love acoustic oriented music, period.
