44 years old, been playing various styles of music ranging from country, bluegrass, folk, some rock, some pop, some blues, praise and worship, gospel, southern gospel. I play acoustic guitar, electric lead, electric bass, or mandolin. I'm very proficient and committed to leaning tunes at higher level than just "Ah, That's Close Enough!" I've been in "Close Enough Bands" 10-15 times now and I'm only interested in playing with like minded players willing to strive to excel through practice and live application. NOTE: I come from a country/bluegrass music background and that's in my "Musical DNA" so anything I play/sing/back up generally comes from that foundation, if needed I can tone it down some but it's in there, it's just who I am. I've lead a few worship teams in my time, and local Bluegrass Bands over the years. Played ton's of shows and gigs, farmers markets, weddings, churches, city events, restaurants, clubs, private parties, smoke free environments only, looking to play out paying gigs maybe 2-5 times a month tops since I work full time, with pre-arranged set lists that can be perfected over time. I've played as a worship leader or the special singer in many many churches over the years and really like to apply my mandolin skills to contemporary worship tunes, that's a specialty of mine. e r p a r r e n t at att . ne t
