Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Drums, Other Percussion.

ABOUT

Newly relocated to Las Vegas, but I have played in bands for many years (my whole life, actually). I'm looking to join (or start) a local band for fun (and probably much more) with the possibility of some gigs. Good jamming with seasoned folks who leave egos at the door is what I am seeking. I like originals projects, but would much prefer a situation where I can participate to at least a degree on a collaborative basis. I generally play bass in bands and am ideally looking to fill that role again, but I also play piano, keyboards, acoustic and electric guitar. I am a decent backup vocalist with a higher range and can sing lead, as needed, but I am not looking to carry the lead vocals or anything...I am perfectly content just doing back-ups. I'm easy going and down to earth. Ideally, I am looking for a classic rock band who throws in some alternative, progressive, or even something modern. Blues and funk are fine, but I don't want to be in a project that focuses on either genre.

Influences

A large variety of things influence me musically, Most formative have been groups like Yes, Kansas, Boston, Rush, Styx, Zep, King Crimson, Cream, Floyd, and the like. Then, it was stuff like kinks, Police, Joe Jackson, Jackson Brown, Allman Brothers, CSN, Beatles, SRV, and Eagles. Then Alice-inChains, STP, Collective Soul, Soul Asylum, and Eric Johnson. I like some funk and lots of blues. Even stuff like Indy pop and other things are a mentionable.

EQUIPMENT

I have had many basses over the years, but currently love my Ibanez instruments (love the fretboards), Markbass Bass amps, Martin Acoustic Guitar, Fender Strat Electric Guitar, Korg Nautilis keyboard. Headrush Prime, Many mics , wireless rigs, furry little animals, and other little things for making sound.
