I'm a proficient guitar player with 30 years experience and a bass player (just getting back in to it after many years not playing bass but can hold my own). It's all about the pocket and rhythm when it comes to bass so I'm not just a guitar player playing bass like a guitar.
Beginning in late 2006, I was a member of a cover/tribute band in the DFW area as one of two guitarists (see videos). We played Kellerfest, Grapefest, The Glass Cactus, Southlake Super Bowl party, Willhoite's, The Back Porch and various other bars around the area. I can sing but more proficient with background vocals over lead vocals, although I have sung lead on a few songs. We made a couple promo demos and recently started heavily promoting an 80's tribute alter ego.
These days I'm enjoying the bass guitar and playing good tunes without being locked in to a genre so much (but everyone has their limits). There's a lot of good music out there.

Guitar and bass rig. Guitar amp is small but packs a punch (Vox AV30 combo).
Bass rig is an Ampeg PF-500 head and a GK CX410 cabinet.
I've got guitars, a bass, microphones and cables. Everything is gig-able.
