The Lebanon, Pa based rock band "Alter-Ego" is currently looking for a drummer. We mostly play modern rock(Metallica to Pearl Jam) but also play other styles including classic rock(Zepplin), alternative and some blues rock(Gary Moore). The band currently consists of 4 people (ages 30-55). We have a drum kit at our practice for the drummer to use if wanted, I will list the basics of the kit below. We are looking to play gigs no more than once a month in this band, and practice every Saturday in Lebanon, Pa. We have a climate controlled fairly spacious practice space. All of us have been friends for more than 18 years now and are in this to play some jobs and have fun. There has never been ANY infighting or ego problems we are friends, not VanHalen or Black Sabbath and we know it lol, you will find us very easy to get along with, and will become fast friends with us as well. I am currently using Superior Drummer as a VSTI running inside Cubase to create drum tracks to keep us fresh, but we find that even though the drum tracks are good, we are a band with a live feel and really need that feel in our drums, these drum tracks are to sterile and just not us lol. Basics of Drum set and equipment we use of 2 - 2000 watt Carvin amps, 2 - 1000 watt SoundTech amps, 24 channel pa board, a DBX DriveRack+ , 2 - single rack effect units. Speaker cabs are 2 - dual 15 inch 2 way cabnets, 2 - dual 15 Magna cabnets and 2 - dual 18 sub cabnets. We have 2 pa setups so we can take out a smaller pa for smaller gigs and have all we need for larger jobs as well. The basics of the kit are -- DW 9000 series double kick, upper level snare, forget the brand atm but its a great sounding snare(can get the model if requested), 3 rack toms, 2 floor toms and about 9 cymbals.
