ABOUT

Hi. Are you willing to travel to Chattanooga to be a part of something exciting?

Are you a Christian? We are a worship band. If you don't know what worship is, then you probably wouldn't feel comfortable playing with us. We just moved to Chattanooga from a far and distant land. We are a part of a new church that is being launch in January. Our keyboard player couldn't move here with us, so we need to find a new person to join the family! We are a multi-ethic band, so if you are somehow uncomfortable around different types of people, then you wouldn't like this band.

Our music draws on many influences... from rock to jazz to bluegrass to funk to folk to pop and to reggae. Every member of our band has worked hard to know music theory, our instruments, and our particular "sound." We never use sheets or charts, so good impov skills are needed. Our songwriter simply brings songs to the band, and we build our parts around him. If you are uncomfortable with certain keys, or scales, or voicings... then you wouldn't fit well in this project. If words like "Friggian" or "Modal" or "Mixolydian" are a foreign language to you, then you probably wouldn't be comfortable in this project. If, however, you know those words - please don't assume that we are mostly fusion... far from it. We need someone with good knowledge - but with pop sensibility. We are all challenged every day by each other.

Opportunities in this band include recording (National Distro), touring, and weekly paid gigs. We have been a band for seven years. Our oldest member is 35, and our youngest member is 22. We have released 4 CD's in the past, and our next CD will be released early next year (It is already finished). I don't want to oversell the oppertunities and make them sound more glamorous then they are. We get paid fairly well each week, and when we tour we generally do pretty well. The record label has a lot invested in us... so it may be a while before we recoup and start making anything on the recordings. But, on the flip side, the music itself is gratifying on many levels. First, it is gratifying because we all get along and support each other. Second, it is gratifying because the musicians in this band are pretty skilled/accomplished. Third, it is gratifying because this is the only project that I have ever played in that offers me the oppertunity to serve God with every ounce of talent I have - no holds barred. Fourth, and most importantly, this band actually does real ministry and plays a part in building God's kingdom. So, to wrap it up... this band helps me fufill my relational, emotional, and spiritual goals.

We don't want to play with a lazy, prideful, immortal, or otherwise unprofessional player.

We need to start rehearsing immediately to be ready for the new church and new CD touring. Our goal is simple: To create the most beautiful worship music we possibly can - as an offering to God.

Members Of Band

We have been a 7 piece band. We have just moved to Chattanooga. We need to find a keyboardist. If you play multiple instruments it is a plus. We are all between 22 and 35. We would like to stay young... but you must be an experienced pro musician. Everyone in this band has played on many studio projects and done extensive touring. We understand how to treat one another with respect. Most importantly, we are looking for people of faith.
